This article covers using LEDs for the main cabin lights located in front of the mirror and on the parcel shelf, as well as the lights in the doors.

Caveats[]

When the two cabin lights have been replaced with LEDs, the delay timer will no longer operate properly. It relies on the specific resistance from the incandescent bulbs, and without those it will never turn off the interior lights at all.

The simplest solution is to remove the white lamp delay module from the relay compartment. Without this module, the interior and door lights will still operate normally when the doors are open, but will immediately turn off when the doors are closed.

An alternate solution is to add an appropriate value resistor to the circuit. This will allow the delay module to operate normally, but will effectively eliminate any power saving advantage that the LEDs would otherwise provide.
